Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 1, 2026 Last Updated: August 1, 2026

PDF Compressor – Tiny & Fast is built on a single foundational principle: your files are yours. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is handled, and why your documents never leave your device.

01 How PDF Compression Works

PDF Compressor – Tiny & Fast processes all files entirely within your browser. When you select a PDF, it is read directly from your device into your browser's memory. The compression engine — built on the open-source pdf-lib library — runs inside a sandboxed Web Worker (a background browser thread) and applies GZIP compression and JPEG image downscaling to reduce the file size. The resulting compressed PDF is then returned to you for download.

At no point in this process is your PDF file transmitted over the internet, uploaded to any server, or accessible to Vrionix Labs or any third party. The entire process is equivalent to running a local desktop application — your browser is the application.

02 Information We Do Not Collect

PDF Compressor – Tiny & Fast does not:

  • Upload, transmit, or store your PDF files on any server
  • Read or analyse the content of your documents
  • Collect your name, email address, or any personal details
  • Require account registration of any kind
  • Track your behaviour, location, or usage patterns
  • Use advertising tracking cookies or analytics scripts

We have no technical access to the files you compress. They exist only on your device, in your browser's sandboxed memory, and are discarded when you close the tab.

03 Information Stored Locally

PDF Compressor – Tiny & Fast may store the following data locally on your device only, using your browser's built-in storage mechanisms (IndexedDB / localStorage):

  • Compression History: File names, original file size, compressed file size, and savings percentage for past compression sessions. The actual PDF content is never stored — only these metadata figures.
  • App Preferences: Your chosen compression mode, theme preference (light/dark), and other in-app settings.

This data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to Vrionix Labs or any external server. You can clear it at any time (see Section 07).

04 Third-Party Services

PDF Compressor – Tiny & Fast does not currently use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

The app loads shared assets (stylesheet, script, logo) from www.vrionix.com — a domain operated by Vrionix Labs. No third-party CDNs or external services are involved in the compression workflow itself.

If third-party services such as Google AdSense or Google Analytics are added in future versions, those services may collect limited technical information (such as IP address and browser type) in accordance with their own privacy policies. Any such change will be reflected in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.

05 Data Security

Because your PDF files are processed entirely within your browser and never transmitted over a network, the primary security boundary is your own device. Your files are as secure as your device and browser are.

The Web Worker sandbox isolates the compression engine from other browser processes, preventing any other script on the page from accessing your files during processing. Once compression is complete, the file data in memory is released.

06 Children's Privacy

PDF Compressor – Tiny & Fast is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no personal data from any user — regardless of age — this is not a practical concern in normal use.

07 Managing Your Local Data

You have full control over all data stored locally by PDF Compressor – Tiny & Fast.

  • Clear your compression history from within the app via the History screen.
  • Reset all preferences from the Settings screen.
  • Clear all app data at once by clearing your browser's site data for this domain in your browser settings, or by uninstalling the app if installed as a PWA.

Once deleted, locally stored data cannot be recovered by Vrionix Labs — we have no copy of it.

08 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to PDF Compressor's features or legal requirements. Any updates will be published at this URL with a revised Last Updated date. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

09 Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit or exclude any consumer or data protection right that cannot be waived or restricted under the applicable laws of your country or region of residence. Where such non-waivable rights apply, this section shall be read subject to them, and shall not be interpreted to reduce the protections you are otherwise entitled to.
